Sleeping with ghosts

Nostalgia is it good? Is it bad? It feels good at times other times it's a little sadness. Bittersweet that word is used a lot in relation to it. Don't live in the past I hear that a lot but why not honor memories? Living in the past is virtually impossible anyway you can only really live right now. I like to open up the past like a good book that is why I've kept journals my whole life. I like to see where I've been feel what I've felt it's like that ever elusive birdsong always heard in the distance but only to the finely tuned ear. The only people I know who dwell in the past are those with regrets and being nostalgic is no place for regrets. Nostalgia is a secret place a magical place where you find that space within a space in time where you felt whole for a moment. It's like a glimpse into your soul from the past. To sleep with ghosts is the ultimate dance let the birdsong play just take my hand.
